Graduation...

I'm happy to report that the Studio move is DONE!!  I'm VERY grateful for all the help to move my studio from the High Chapparel Complex, where I've been for (4) years... and into the New space (for the next several years) at Southgate Square, across from the Nissan Dealership!  As you can see from the pics below, it was QUITE a BIG change!  :-D LOL

Contrary to what the After picture shows (below) , All the glass, cutting area, & kilns are in and set up, however, still have a few more things to set up before opening.  For instance, the Class area, which will be more organized for me & the students; and the Glass Gallery Boutique!  Hopefully I can say I'm finally done with everything by mid-August!   That will be a Relief!  :-D

Electrician is coming this week to put in a few more outlets, primarily for the BIG Kiln which is a 220/240 outlet, plus outlets for two new pieces of equipment:  Glass Saw and a Lap Wheel (which will make glass sanding TONS EASIER).  I KNOW my Students will LOVE this new addition!  :-D LOL  Signage also will be going up soon.  I have to wait for a *new* light sign to be installed above my Studio, on the exterior.  Apparently I have to wait until the building gets painted... no worries, I'm sure people will find me - they did before!  Below, my Studio is to the left of the black vehicle and Shari s Hair Studio.  :-)

This upcoming year includes Classes with Meetup group members, couples/mystery date, groups, & children besides the ongoing students who enjoy coming back to create!  Classes start Thurs, August 7 for a local Meetup group, and for the general public on Sat, Aug. 9.

Look forward to welcoming new and existing students, friends, relatives, ALL into my new Studio space! It'll be nice to see everyone again!

Moving in July! YAY!!

Great News!!  Starry Night Creations will be moving out of its present location (at the High Chaparrel Complex on US 1 So) and moving to it's *NEW* Location in Southgate Square, 2730 US 1 South, Suite L (diagonally across road) this coming month!

The space is presently being prepared and re-painted for arrival (among other things), then the move commences this month!

I'm very grateful for this new & larger space that is propelling this glass fusing business in new & exciting directions!  It's a very happy time with a fresh new start!

A Grand "Re-Opening" is planned for September!  More pics coming soon; Stay tuned...

Loved Sharing Glass w/the Children...

This past Saturday, I set up my tables in a newly built Pavillion at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre.  THANK GOODNESS for the fans above and a perfect position to catch an everflowing breeze, 'cause I wouldn't have made it through that 90 degree day!  Here's a pic of my location amongst the trees:

I was incredibly impressed how many Children wanted to work with the glass (and adults too)!  I scheduled about 6 classes, 1 hour each, figuring that was enough time.  Within an hour they were all filled!!  Teachers & parents had warned me to keep the classes short because the kids won't sit that long.  Well, the first class was a total of 5 minutes long!  :-D LOL  Those kids sat down, made something, and were gone!  Most classes after that were shortened, which worked out well!  I was SO grateful for one of my adult students who volunteered to help out for a few hours, glad she stayed the day... as it was incredibly busy between the classes and preparing their creations for firing!  I was able to catch a shot of some students creating... and look at some of these fabulous creations (before firing)!  :-D

Donating Glass & Classes for Kids...

Amidst all the moving... this coming Saturday, June 21st from 2-8p, I'll be donating glass, time, & classes to enrich & expand children's awareness of the many forms of Art available to them (not only art in the classroom).

The Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre invited Starry Night Creations to participate in this worthwhile day of pure FUN & Discovery for children!  How could I say No??  :-)  It'll be a FUN day for All.  This event is Free, so DO bring your kids to experience a variety of art forms!  Glass & clay classes will be available (among others), and over 40 interactive Art experiences!

Greetings & Welcome!

Greetings Fused Glass Lovers!

Welcome to my *new* Blog here on Blogspot!  You may already follow my posts on Facebook, however, not everyone uses Facebook -- so this is the place to see what's *new* in the Studio, what's *new* from the kiln, what's "On Sale"... all kinds of great info in more detail!

For starters... the Studio is in the relocation process!  Everything is being packed up, all glass & kilns will be moved to the *New* location very soon!  So therefore, no classes are being held presently until possibly mid-August (tentative).

Look forward to a Grand Opening in Sept./Oct with Lots of Surprises on the way!
